There’s nothing quite as vibey as postmodern french poetry found on the internet.

How I spend my freetime is sometimes a little disturbing.

‘So, what did you do on your day off, Helen?’
‘Um, well, I spent some time searching for wierd french poetry on the internet..’

I just tried to look up the word ‘vibe’ in a french dictionary and it doesn’t exist. How sad. Oo no, I may have found it…

I’ve also started reading the Da Vinci Code and its making me want to go back to Paris.

Oh la vie de Paris…libre, chique.. ou je suis presque une personne completement differente, dans le monde francophone.

Why?

Today I went to Clontarf for a bit with my parents and 3 year old Andy. Ah the childhood memories. Andy & I wrote our names in the sand and splashed our feet in the water and I attempted to give profound answers to his constant ‘But why?’s.
The world is so interesting when you’re 3. I don’t think I gave Andy’s curious mind very satisfying answers. But I’m glad he challenged me with Why’s. Couldn’t get away with anything.

Maybe adults should learn to ask why more often.

I’ve been off chocolate for a while now, but I returned on Sat. What is it with girls and chocolate?
Sad, chocolate. Angry, chocolate. Bored, chocolate. Stressed, chocolate.

Bit pathetic really.

I just spent the last hour procrastinating from all the things I need to do by catching up on blogs.
I think I might be back.

An Iranian asylum seeker was provoked into escaping from the Woomera detention centre because of the misery of captivity, a court heard today…Behrooz, who fled his “fanatical” Muslim family in Iran after expressing an interest in becoming a Catholic, escaped from the detention centre because of taunts from Muslim detainees that he should be beheaded because of his Christian belief.

Tonight in small group we talked about the Bible and refugees. I can’t quite imagine being persecuted for being a Christian. Like really persecuted. It really is another world.
