From vibe land
My first post from a Newtown internet cafe. Special moment. Glad you could all share it with me.

Oh dear. I do miss blogging at catching up reading blogs at home.
BUT I like my new home. And I like Newtown.
It felt a bit more real today as I decided where to keep things in my kitchen and went wandering down King St exploring the delights of the Newtown shopping/vibey world.
I guess it will feel like home soon. I still kind of feel like I’m staying in a motel. Partly I think because noone else is there and I’ve never lived on my own. I can’t rely on other people to make it feel like home. That job’s up to me.
I’m working on it.
By the way you’re all invited to my home-warming on Thurs Dec 29. Doors open all afternoon and night. Come whenever you want, bring whatever you want. COme hlep me make my home feel more home!!
Well, I’m about to spend my last night in this place. Quite a bizarre feeling. As of tomorrow, I’ll FINALLY be in my own place in Newtown….very exciting..a little daunting….mmm…but very exciting. I don’t feel very ready. But tomorrow will come and will happen, at some point I’ll move and then I’ll be there. And that’s really good.
Tonight we had dinner with the Adams. I’m gonna miss them. They’re tops.
Today was a day of nostalgia: finding old photos and signed ISCF houseparty and conference folders in boxes, showing jon the house of my childhood, glancing over my first efforts at youth ministry, flicking through a photo album of my primary school birthday parties and dance concerts, reading my high school reference…and more.
Life feels very surreal at the moment.
God is being so gracious to me. He seems to know what I need.
In other news, THE 2 OF US ARE GOING TO U2 TOO!!!! (thankyou tom!) We listened to U2 whilst packing and cleaning just to celebrate and warm Jon further towards the love of U2. They make great packing music. I like U2 I do.
Fantastic.
