Hello.
Well, Jon and I are both still sick. Very frustrating.
Yesterday we had a farewell for Steve & family. Very odd. Can’t quite believe he’s going. Wasn’t quite prepared to say the goodbyes so I got a little emotional. Got a bit nostalgic about our wedding day. It’s sad that the person who married us is leaving so soon.
We also had cafe church which was fun. Jon & co did a drama which was very funny. I realised at one point that I was laughing an awful lot and got slightly concerned that I was playing the ‘I think you’re amazing’- wife-role and got a little embarrassed. I do like watching Jon act though.
And the dancers danced having produced something for church without me. I was proud.
We planned to escape early but got into a conversation with Hamish that was fascinating. Eventually Jon pulled me away and we did make it home early-ish.
It was odd going to and from Belrose without crossing the bridge. Felt like we didn’t go to ‘the other side’.

Just been on church camp.
We actually camped.
We took along our massive self inflating (with electricity) in 3mins air matress only to discocver it didn’t quite fit in the tent we were borrowing. Surface area of matress > surface area of tent floor. Nevertheless we mangaed to squash it in and let it bulge slightly at the sides. i felt like I was sleeping on a mattress with a little roof. Possibly the first time in my life I’ve felt truly clostraphobic.
I think I’d like to do more campimng though. Perhaps with just slightly more room.
