Oh yeah. It’s 750am on a Sat morning and I’m leaving for work…Woohoo!

Today
Hmmm. I’m meeting Ben at 11 to work on our new perscussive tap extravaganza. Then I need to plan and choreograph for this term’s classes and work on my dances for the Middle Earth show. Then I’m teaching for Pip, and then for myself, and then running a rehearsal for the journey dances which in total will be 5 1/4 hrs straight of teaching and leading. Before I leave I need to get dressed, book my car in, make lunch, get my head around what else I have to do today.
My nose is runny. And I want to go back to bed.

The tricky thing about travelling is knowing what to wear. Today is cold & raining in Sydney, the net tells me it’s 30 degrees in Rocky, and planes I find are always a little chilly.
Layers.
Last night Jon & I had a marvellous time with some bread, apple & blackcurrant juice, a special cup & plate Helen and Mike gave me, candlelight and a Bible. Sometimes I think rituals can be most powerful when you create them yourself. Go the home created communion service. Go the vibe.
Just read a fairly detailed SMH article on the emerging church called Jesus walks into a bar. There really is something about the ideas that I find attractive. I think the appeal of less institution and more connection to the world as a good step forward. Though I’m also aware that I need to love God’s church. And have some sort of accountability to walk in truth. Just one of the many questions of the year…
I don’t seem to have been very good at blogging of late.
Wed we went up the mountains to see Phil & Guin & Soren. Oh so good to see them. Soren’s got big. I’m going to be one of those annoying grown ups who syas ‘oh my, how you’ve grown’ everytime I see him. And he’ll think who’s this wierdo I don’t recognise. It’s so sad we don’t remember our babyhood. Oh so good to see them, I miss them.
Tomorrow we fly to Rocky for a week. First time I go to stay with the in-laws. Felling a little nervous. Not quite sure why. Mostly just lookng forward to having a holiday. My sick body keeps saying ‘rest’. Hopefully getting away will make me listen.
Today we went out to CCC Centre West to see the SCA Easter Production. It was great to see Hamish play Jesus now that we know Hamish a bit better. He did good. And Lauren did good too making the singers sing. But sadly we couldn’t see her becuase they were off in a room somewhere singing into microphones. They added talking this year as a break formt eh soundscape of music. I’m glad. I liked. Jon and I always walk away form productions these days saying what we’d do if we were in charge. Shame. Would be good to just enjoy. Fun though too thinking up ideas.
