church?
The tricky thing about travelling is knowing what to wear. Today is cold & raining in Sydney, the net tells me it’s 30 degrees in Rocky, and planes I find are always a little chilly.

Just read a fairly detailed SMH article on the emerging church called Jesus walks into a bar. There really is something about the ideas that I find attractive. I think the appeal of less institution and more connection to the world as a good step forward. Though I’m also aware that I need to love God’s church. And have some sort of accountability to walk in truth. Just one of the many questions of the year…
I read the article with a few mixed feelings. Great what some people are doing, I love the urban seed idea of meeting people where they are at. There is just something a bit sad in this rejection people have of the church in general, and it is not like I even go all the time. I showed the last line to Keith about National Church Life Survey, surprisingly he had not seen it yet.
